Amateur Radio Operators-Although the NETWI network broadcasts on the unlicensed frequency of 2.4Ghz, many Amateur Radio Operators have been a instrumental in the research, development and inspiration for the NETWI project. From humble PAKET Radio transmissions at 300 baud which began in Cass County approximately 12 years ago on the Licensed Amateur Band of 145.075Mhz (2M), merging computer and radio technologies has long been a passion of "hams" worldwide.
